"Susan has an amazing creative talent. She can find (or design) the most noteworthy pieces of jewelry to take you from mundane to marvelous. I am always amazed at her selection as it includes budget pieces (that look like you busted the budget!!) to very special occasion pieces. She is available to help you determine your style so your selection is a reflection of the best of you. Regardless of the piece you choose you can be sure it is of the highest quality and is guaranteed to get you noticed."

For drama, try a version like the Black Moulin: #1546

For drama, try a version like the Black Moulin: #1546

fall. autumn. that time of year when tv shows finally start again. whatever you want to call it, its quickly on the heels of summer and will be here before you or i know it. for some of you, this may mean a tear shed over not

being able to wear your maxi dress and gladiator sandals for much longer, but for others [like me!] it may mean a welcomed end to the sweaty, oppressively humid, hot nights and days of the last few months.

For a playful, bohemian vibe, try the polka-dot feather - #1544-DOT

either way, we have many things to look forward to my friends.

tight season is quickly upon us which means it will soon be time to break out the ankle booties, the knee skimming dresses, that favorite leather jacket and celebrate the return of gossip girl, 30 rock, and the changing of the leaves. fall style is an array of layered looks with a casual feel paired with some stellar accessories. and as long as blair waldorf continues to grace our television sets, the headband will continue to be the go-to accessory of the cooler months.

not only does a headband offer about the quickest bad hair day fix since the brush, but it adds that perfect final touch to any outfit. but don’t get me wrong, the fall go-to is not  the simple plastic version we all knew too well as kindergartners. we’re talking feathers, flowers-pretty much anything with flair.

the best thing about one of these bad boys? longevity. wear with hair up, hair down, center part, side bangs-any style could use a little extra va-voom! they’ll take you from jeans and a t-shirt by day to little black dress date nights. one of these not-so bad boys will take you right through the holiday party season and then some. so snag one before gossip girl returns and perhaps people will think good ol blair waldorf is taken a cue from you-and not vice versa.

We just posted these on our “This Just In” page and I wanted to confess immediately that I wore these almost every day on my recent trip to NYC. They go with everything and are a great earring! And the mother of pearl really catches the light. A great find for the price.

The Statue of Liberty on a Clear Night

The Statue of Liberty on a Clear Night

Jennifer, our Sales Manager, and I went to NYC last week on a buying trip.  I love buying trips. They are work; don’t let anyone tell you they are not, but they are really exciting when you are in this business.  I really enjoy them…and this trip was no exception.

But,… sometimes you gotta play tourist.

After dinner one very stormy night, with lightning and thunder and puddles everywhere, we decided to ride the Staten Island Ferry to see the Statue of Liberty, something Jennifer had never done before.

The last time I rode the ferry was about five years ago.  I took Jaimi to New York for her birthday back then and we took the same ride but on a chilly, clear October night.  So I guess it was Jennifer’s turn.

I really enjoy showing people this quintessential part of New York–whether it is stormy or clear out.  Where else can you get a boat ride in a beautiful harbor for free?  Yes, FREE.  A ride to Staten Island, which takes you close enough to the Statue to get a tiny picture of it on your cell or iphone, is a free trip.  Even better, a free ROUND trip.  It’s an hour well spent to see the sights–the incredible lights of New York Harbor even on a rainy night–and to marvel in the diversity that is the population of  New York City.  A very satisfying quick jaunt.

Needless to say, our  buying trip was very successful and we are anxious to show you the amazing jewelry that will be featured right here as soon as it is in.

Stay tuned.
